Developers Gainford Group have created the aparthotel on Westgate Road to add to other bars and hotels in the city centre.
A luxury aparthotel has opened in a Grade II-listed building following a £4m investment from developer Gainford Group.
The growing care and leisure group already operates the Vermont Hotel and The County Hotel in Newcastle city centre and has recently purchased the former Premier Inn hotel in New Bridge Street.
Now, having scored success with its first aparthotel – the Vermont Aparthotel – on Newcastle Quayside over the last three years, the firm has opened a second apartment scheme at Grainger House called the County Aparthotel, to complement the nearby County Hotel.
The property, based on the corner of Westgate Road and Clayton Street, has 19 apartments which each have everything needed for a home-from-home environment for long and short-stay guests. Each apartment has a high-spec kitchen, living room, dining room and ensuite bathroom.
